Toshiba eStudio printer error message – Error C44 call service

Here in this post I explain about a specific problem faced by Toshiba eStudio printer users. Toshiba eStudio series is high speed printer and mainly used in corporate offices. One day when you work all of a sudden you receive an error message from the printer and it shows C44 and now you can’t print anymore. Frustrating isn’t it?

Little bit facts about the C44 error, C44 simply means that the count of printer has gone above the limit and it needs service. But in most cases its false positive, means many reasons can bring up the issue. Some of them include over heat of printer parts, issue in settings, or any particular component failure but above all it occurs for some unknown reasons also and that’s why you can use this to rectify the issue. The advantage of doing this is that if the issue do not solve up after doing this you can call you service engineers but if it gets solved it can save your money for calling the service engineers.

Solution:

Switch off the printer first.
Now Power the Printer by pressing 0 and 8 keys (keep pressing).
Then a test mode comes up.
Now Type 400.
Press START (!)(You will get a counter and now you need to reset this).
Type 0.
Press Enter(start)
Switch off the Printer now and restart and check again with first steps till typing 0 (You need not type 0).
Now switch off the printer and on it normally.
You should see printer working normally
This fix is applicable to all Toshiba eStudio printers.
